If you're worried about your baby, don't wait for an email reply. Call your health visitor, midwife or GP. In the UK you can also call 111, or 999 in an emergency.

Email hello@newlyhere.app with what you were doing, what you expected to happen, and which iPhone and Watch you have. I aim to reply within two working days.
Common questions
How do my partner and I share the log?
Sharing comes with the unlock (and with the free first week). In Settings, tap Add someone and show them the code (or the QR code). They install Newly Here, choose "Join a baby's log" and enter it. You let them in. From then on, anything either of you logs shows on both phones and Watches within moments. Neither of you needs an account.
We used Nearly Here. Do we start again?
No. When you send "Baby's here" from Nearly Here, it offers to start your baby's log. Newly Here picks up the birth time, and your birth partner is already on the log.
Does the Watch app need my iPhone nearby?
No. The Watch logs on its own, and sends everything on when it's back in touch.
Can one of us start a feed and the other stop it?
Yes. A timer started on any device shows on all of them, and anyone on the log can switch side or stop it.
I fell asleep and the timer kept running.
It happens. If a timer runs longer than the length you set in Settings, Newly Here asks quietly whether it's still going. On the Watch, turn the Digital Crown to say when it ended. On iPhone, tap any entry to change its times.
Does the app tell me if my baby is feeding or sleeping enough?
No. It records what you log and shows it back to you, including a one-page summary you can show your health visitor. Your health visitor, midwife or GP can talk you through what it means for your baby.
Does it work out medicine doses?
No. You log what was given, how much and by whom, as you'd write it down. It shows how long ago the last dose was, and reminds you if you've set a reminder. Always follow the instructions on the packet, or your pharmacist's or GP's advice.
What if I lose my phone?
If your partner's on the log, their phone still has everything. With the unlock, Newly Here also keeps an encrypted backup. When you set it up, you'll get a recovery key. Keep it somewhere safe, such as your Passwords app or printed out. Without it, nobody can read the backup, including us.
Can I log twins?
Yes. Add a second baby in Settings, and choose who you're logging for with one tap, on iPhone or Watch.
Can my partner use Android?
Not yet. Newly Here is on iPhone and Apple Watch for now.
What's free?
Everything is unlocked for the first week. After that, logging on iPhone, the night look, Lock Screen timer, widgets and the health visitor summary stay free. A one-off unlock of £9.99 (no subscription, shared through Family Sharing) adds your partner on the same live log, the Apple Watch app, more people logging, encrypted backup, updates and photos for family, and export.
